Library Media Center

Welcome To The Media Center
The Jr./Sr. Media Center has been located in the newest add on to the high school since 1997.

The LMC has approximately 8000 books which cover a broad spectrum of fiction and non-fiction titles and topics. The library also offers a selection of magazines and newspapers for academic usage and pleasure.

The teachers at North White Jr./Sr. encourage the students to read by using the Accelerated Reader Program. The library contains over 3000 AR books for the students.

How the AR Program Works
Students are required to obtain a certain number of points each nine weeks. They obtain these points by reading the AR books. Each book is worth a certain number of points so the students may have to read several books in order to obtain their needed points.

When the student finishes his/her book then they take a test. They must pass the test in order to receive their points.

Book Fairs
The Media Center hosts a book fair twice a year, in the fall and the spring. The proceeds from the book fair help to buy more AR books for the library.
